Description:
Mallomonas spec.Monadic species of Synurophyceae. Cell is covered by siliceous scales. Second flagellum is not visible. Collected from littoral region (reed belt by Phragmites) of a rain storage reservoir in Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany). Images were taken using Zeiss Universal with Olympus C7070 CCD camera.For high-resolution images please ask postmaster@protisten.de.
