Description:
Over the years, we always try, and usually succeed, at a "Big Finish" at the end of every trip. On the way back up from Marathon, I stopped at Pennekamp. As usual, it did not disappoint. I ran into this ray as it prowled the grass flats off Far Beach. The visibility wasn't great, and it wasn't the biggest ray I'd encountered over the last couple weeks, but it certainly was the most cooperative, and entertaining.Every so often, it would stop and hover over a spot, do some stingray stuff, and then move on to the next target, with a few hangers-on, including me, tagging along. So, for it's much appreciated contribution to making another memorable moment, I figured that it should get it's debut ahead of all the others.Southern StingrayHypanus americanusJohn Pennekamp Coral Reef State ParkFar Beach, Largo SoundKey Largo Monroe County Florida, USAOlympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II14-42mm II LensPT-EP13 Underwater Housing, PPZR-EP02 Lens Port & 14-42mm Zoom Gear
