Found this big fella a few years back. Was in great shape. No visible damage. Laying in the tire ruts on a sendero during the middle of the day. Sure glad my son saw him. Not sure how to tell male from females...

Spotted in a wash on the edge of a sendero. Healthy, with no signs of injury. Pretty bland design on it's back.. Beautiful!

This poor fella was pretty beat up.. Old wound in the middle of it's back. We have tons of Road Runners and I would guess it got poked.. Horn's on it's head are crack or broken off. (Look at large photo) Still getting around pretty good!

I am enclosing a picture of a baby horned lizard. The photo was taken in late August. I have spotted numerous horned lizards on my place this year.
