I'm guessing the brushfooted butterflies due to the legs, but nothing none of the teensy thumbnails in the list at http://butterfly.ucdavis.edu/butterfly/common seems as pale as this critter. I saw what appeared to be similar pale butterflies at a distance over the miniature lupine and over the blue eyed grass. Late afternoon.
