Female orb weaver found around a meter away from Double Pond at Pepperwood Preserve. The spider was large, with 1.5 centimeter long abdomen, .7 centimeter long carapace and 2 centimeter long legs. There were tons of baby frogs jumping around the pong and two were stuck in the spider's web. The frogs were only about 3 centimeters long and the spider was eating one with another secured to the side of the web. The spider's web was an orb web and had a layer of tangle web in front and behind the orb web. There was one other orb weaver slightly larger than this one on the other side of the pond. This orb weaver had the same style of web.
