While I was standing in front of the spider and surrounding vegetation, a butterfly flew into the web and the spider immediately snagged in and wrapped it up. The great circle of life.

This is one of my favorite spiders to see in the garden. I just love the Yellow Garden Spider. I love the patterns of black on their bodies. The web structure of these spiders is equally dazzling. These spiders make an interesting design on their web which is absent in this picture; it is known that is a wavy zigzag pattern that is used for more than one purpose but is still up to debate. The term for the strange design slips my mind but it has a special name. These spiders are very good for the Garden and take care of the bad harmful bugs that could cause us harm. They are a very beneficial insect for the Garden.
