Garden Spider Argiope species wrapping up a grasshopper Hornsby Bend, Austin, Travis Co., Texas 1 November 2013 This Argiope caught a grasshopper in its web and I watched as it wrapped up its prey. I took a series of about 25 images of this process as web material flowed freely from her abdomen.....some of these images are really interesting in that you can see the webbing streaming out and the way she uses her rear legs to arrange the web.
