This image contains digital watermarking or credits in the image itself. The usage of visible watermarks is discouraged. If a non-watermarked version of the image is available, please upload it under the same file name and then remove this template. Ensure that removed information is present in the image description page and replace this template with {{Metadata from image}} or {{Attribution metadata from licensed image}}. Caution: Before removing a watermark from a copyrighted image, please read the WMF's analysis of the legal ramifications of doing so, as well as Commons' proposed policy regarding watermarks. If the old version is still useful, for example if removing the watermark damages the image significantly, upload the new version under a different title so that both can be used. After uploading the non-watermarked version, replace this template with.mw-parser-output.nowrap,.mw-parser-output.nowrap a:before,.mw-parser-output.nowrap.selflink:before{white-space:nowrap}{{Superseded|new filename|version without watermarks}}. Summary[edit] Description: Taken near the pond. I have been trying for weeks to get a clear shot of this beautiful but skittish dragon fly. I believe I caught the essence of it's beauty in this series of three shots. I used a monopod to steady the camera and ever so slowly kept inching up an clicking shots. When these guys get spooked they take off and DO NOT land in the same or close spot. For some reason today these guys stayed still long enough for me to get a few good shots. Imagine creeping up and lifting the monopod forward, base first a few inches at a time then ever so slowly shuffleing my feet forward and pivoting the camera through a small but painfully slow arc before I could get my next shot. I have gotten pretty good at creeping forward like this. I think I could say: "move like a sloth so you don't spook the dragon!" MOTO. Date: 8 July 2008, 12:34. Source: Widow Skimmer, male.
