Grmuša čavrljanka (Sylvia curruca) je rasprostranjena u gotovo celoj Evropi, osim Pirinejskog poluostrva, u delovima Male Azije, Bliskog Istoka, centralne i umerene Azije. Izrazita je selica. Zimuje u podsaharskoj Africi, Arabijskom poluostrvu i Indiji. Naseljava otvorena staništa sa žbunjem, mlade šume i zasade četinara, obrasle voćnjake i parkove, visokoplaninske i polupustinjske žbunaste zajednice od ravničarskih do visokoplaninskih predela. Gnezda gradi u žbunastoj vegetaciji na maloj visini. Hrani se beskičmenjacima i bobičastim plodovima. Evropska populacija je stabilna. U Srbiji se populacija procenjuje na 19.200–27.300 parova i stabilna je (Puzović et al 2015).
