Seen crossing the road at sunset about a day after heavy storms. Rare to see these above ground! Confirmed three scales between eyes. Will probably deposit at the ARDRC.

Private landowner survey with LPMN Biocensations @sandboa This observation was the height of our day. We watched the snake (that looked like a giant earthworm) eating ants by dipping into the ant mound...without having them to swarm out. Not fire ants, because I disturbed the edge of the mound to investigate. Fascinating. All photos taken to show the activity of the snake. Should have taken a video

Found in the house, completely tangled in dog hair. We spent 30 minutes snipping each hair and untangled the poor little guy.

I found this snake at 11:25pm slithering across a sidewalk here at UT - on the eastern side of Guadalupe just north of Dean Keaton. It was 73 degrees F, 87% humidity, 8 mph wind with 16mph gusts, cloudy aaaaannnnnd yeah. He was active and it was not completely dark where it was because of a street lamp. When I picked it up it poked me with the little spine on its tail.
