Photographed on a Canyoneer hike at Oakoasis County Open Space Preserve at 12620. Wildcat Canyon Road near trail at approximately 2:00 pm on a boulder. Have another snapshot of the lizard showing the habitat. My camera didn't get set up with date or GPS function yet. Hiking with Canyoneer Jerry Jacobs who first spotted the lizard.

At Oakoasis County Open Space Preserve at 12620 Wildcat Canyon Road along the 3 mile loop trail at about 2:00 pm during a Canyoneer guided walk with Jerry Jacobs. I didn't turn on my GPS or set up date function on camera. Same lizard as my first post.

the most fantastic creature I've seen in a while- totally badass-looking but it moved pretty slowly and awkwardly; sort of a slow-rolling armored tank of a lizard I guess
