Horned_lizard my guess is this is Phrynosoma douglassii Short-Horned lizard Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Sauropsida Order: Squamata Family: Phrynosomatidae Genus: Phrynosoma Their chief diet areAnts (Formicidae), which we saw at least one large colony on this same walk i050408 063.
