Most of the individuals I observed were flying among the Fremont's Bushmallow present at this location. This is a known host plant.

I'm worried it is to overexposed to be able to identify.

Pretty sure I've got the ID right. There aren't that many white skippers, after all, and this one is supposed to prefer mallows (this was on the Malacothamnus).

Unexpected find on a cultivated native Mallow in the Native Garden. A female, possibly ovipositing in some of these images. Common Checkered Skippers are very numerous in urban gardens here; but I'd never seen one of these before in Sonoma county. Perhaps I'm not looking closely...
