Found along a trail about 15' above the lake edge in chaparral. SCAT: Suspect from either raccoon or fox but too degraded for definitive id. Only Crayfish in this area that I am aware of are Signal Crayfish and Red Swamp Crayfish

A fairly large hermit crab, it tried to move away as I held the end of its shell underwater, and it emerged from the shell to get more traction.
