This was actually an amusing location to view frogs, as they would leap into the water as you walked along between the old fish hatchery ponds, and then practically turn themselves inside out the moment they touched the surface, in order to get back on the bank. The bluegill and carp would no doubt suck down any hapless frog lingering in the pond. The flooding caused areas of the cement walls to be overtopped, created protected pools in a few areas where the frogs can be safe from the fish.

After my morning shift at the Texas Toyota Fest, I ate lunch at Andrew Brown Park in Coppell. Spotted some neat things. :)

Small brown toad. Found in a moist area of trees next to Onion Creek on Lower Falls. Sunny with temps in the high eighties.
