~2cm long Found in a small pool (3'x2' dimension) in a marshy low area. Pool likely only present after extensive rains as it is not normally fed by any creek. Frog was sitting on the edge of the pool in the grass but jumped into the pool when my shadow fell across it. It hid in algae at the bottom of the pool but I grabbed it pretty easily.

"~2cm long. Had an interesting very faint ""X"" pattern on its back. Found in a sunny grassy field in the tall grass adjacent to a creek. When disturbed, it jumped into the water and tried to bury itself in algae under the bank. Believe that I heard it calling before I stumbled upon it, but got no record of the call. Easily caught, potentially because it was cold out."

~2cm long Found in a wooded grassy area adjacent to a creek. It was sitting on a gravel bar in the middle of the creek but swam into the weeds on the edge of the creek when it saw me. Caught it and disturbed several large (4cm long) tadpoles in the weeds while I was at it.

1.5cm body length Found in a grassy clearing hopping in the grass - not near cover or water, and seemed dehydrated. Maybe lost! Other A. blanchardi abundantly present in the vicinity in flooded wetland areas. Clearing was within a scrubby wooded area.

Led a fun little plant walk with several master naturalists at the yet-to-be-opened Palo Pinto Mountains State Park! It was great fun, and I did have a bit of time to make some observations too. :)
