This white goshawk is currently sheltering from constant rain in a gumtree near our house. Unfortunately I can't get on an angle where it isn't obscured by branches close to me and close to it. It is great to see it removing some of the rain from its feathers by lifting up its wings and holding them out for awhile. Maybe it is hoping that there'll be a breeze to dry them off. Hopefully it will shuffle into a more convenient position!(no...it's now gone :-( )This is officially the Grey Goshawk, but Tasmania only has the white phase. I just read on the ALA that it is endangered in Tasmania. I is certainly a regular in our home suburb. Lucky us.www.parks.tas.gov.au/index.aspx?base=13530Garden, Hobart, Tasmania Australia
