edit] Description: English: Melo Melo - volute. The specimen was sold on a food market in Rayong, Thailand. After boiling the snail had a strange taste and was tough as leather (uneatable!). The snail shell shown on the photo has a hight of 25 and a maximum width of 16 cm. Deutsch: Melo Melo - Walzenschnecke. Das gezeigte Exemplar wurde auf einem Lebensmittelmarkt in Rayong, Thailand verkauft. Gekocht hatte die Schnecke einen merkwürdigen Geschmack und war zäh wie Leder (ungenießbar!). Das auf dem Foto zu sehende Gehäuse hat eine Höhe von 25 und eine max. Breite von 16 cm. Date: 27 October 2011. Source: Own work. Author:
