A male Long-tailed Brush Lizard that had been caught on the ground, in stead of on the branches of the nearby Creosote bushes. He was temporarily placed inside a plastic bag, to prevent caudal autotomy and to allow for a better view of his belly and throat colors, before his release back into a neighboring Creosote bush with his potential mate.

Found laying flat on a creosote bush low branch. Blends in well with dark banded bark. Long, thin tail. About 1.5 in SVL.
