Summary[edit] Description: English: Navicula tripunctata (O.F. Müller) Bory, 1822 The specimens agree well with Patrick & Reimer 1966, pl.49, fig.3 and Cox 1979, p.137, figs 7-9. Although essentially a freshwater species it is found occasionally in brackish water. It was also recorded by Foged 1978, p.100, pl.29, fig.8 from the rocky coast at Noosa Head, Queensland - a marine habitat, scale= 50 µm. Date: 2013. Source: plankton net. Author: Stuart R. Stidolph.

Navicula spec. in mucilaginous sheath accompanied by Ulothrix carmichaelii. Scale bar indicates 200 m. The image was built up using several photomicrographic frames with manual stacking technique. Sample from North Sea near Heligoland (Aufwuchs).
