Šareni daždevnjak (lat. Salamandra salamandra) je najpoznatiji predstavnik daždevnjaka, koji naseljava zapadni, centralni i južni deo Evrope, sve do Male Azije i Sirije. Postoji više podvrsta. Telo je vretenasto, crne boje, sa karakterističnim žutim mrljama, koje upozoravaju grabljivce (aposomatska obojenost).
