Elko whitlowcress, Draba sphaeroides, Thomas Creek Canyon, Ruby Mountains, Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest, elevation 2560 m (8400 ft). Substrate is mixed granitic and carbonate. This rare species is found only in three mountain ranges in Elko County of northeastern Nevada.

Limestone rock crevices on Cerro Gordo Peak, Inyo Mountains, California, July 7th 2011. This little-known plant in the Brassicaceae was originally placed in the genus Thelypodium, then in its is own genus, Caulstramina, but is now considered a member of the small genus Hesperidanthus.
