Summary[
edit] Description: English: Fat-tailed dwarf lemur (
Cheirogaleus medius), Kirindy, Madagascar. A noctural lemur of western deciduous dry forests, the fat-tailed dwarf lemur has the unusual habit of "hibernating" in tree holes for six to eight months during the dry season, relying on fat reserves stored in its tail - hence the name.
