Abutilon hirtum is an E African species penetrating northwards alogn the Rift Valley. In the Dead Sea area this is more or less the only flower blooming at the moment. It is found in prings, date groves and other irrigated places.

Ceratocephala falcata is one of the cutest small flowers, the whole plant if very small and it usually geows within little stones. It belongs to the buttercup plant family (Ranunculaceae). Here u can see its fruits.

These are male flowers of a caropb tree. Unlike most other tress in the Mediteranean region, this one blooms in autumn, hence its tropical origin.
