Anemone blanda was found to be quite common in the mountains around Antalya. It was hard to photograph it without flash, since the leaves are so dark. This is the best non-flashed pic I could manage. The species occurs in various colous from white to dark blue, more photos in the coming days.

Ranunculus muricatus grows in wet places such as springs, inundated areas and grasslands, here u can see the typical bristly fruit, and the tiny flower as well.

As promised I post the whole plant after posting a close up. Anemone blanda was found to be quite common in the mountains around Antalya. It was hard to photograph the whole plant since the leaves are so dark.

Delphinium requienii is a nice erect perennial originating in Mediterranean France. I al;ways find delphinium flwoers to be so interesting. I wonder who is pollinating them and how.

A tall herbaceous perennial. Laves 3-pinnate, leaflets ovate. Flowers pink, large and impressive. Forest clearings, the plants were found at the edges of a peculiar mixed low alpine forest, 3300m above sea level. The trees were a mix of rhododendrons, junipers and maples.

A small delightful flowers, typical to the the first bloom wave near melting snow for example. The plant grows in Europe and western temperate Asia.

Eranthis is Turkey was considered to be a seperated species (E. cilicicus) form the European one (E. hyemalis). But was found to be almost identical. I found it in damp mountainous places together with Crocuses, Scilla bifolia and Anemone blanda.
