Sallent de Gllego. El Pirineo: Aragn (Espaa)Familia: RANUNCULACEAEAl igual que Helleborus foetidus, es una planta muy txica. Distribucin: Endmica del W de Europa. En la Pennsula Ibrica ocupa los sistemas montaosos del tercio N (Pirineos, Cordillera Cantbrica, Sistema Ibrico septentrional y N de la Cordillera Costera Catalana). En Aragn se presenta en los montes del Alto Pirineo, descendiendo a algunos del Prepirineo como la Sierra de Orba, Cancis, Pea Montaesa y Turbn.Hbitat: Propia de bosques hmedos (abetales, hayedos, pinares), setos y orlas forestales, pasando tambin a pastos pedregosos ms o menos innivados.Preferencia edfica: Basfila. Basfila Calccola. Substratum: soil.Place: About 1 km north of village Mali dol, Komen Karst region, Primorska, Slovenia EC.Comment: Pulsatilla montana is a poisonous but incredible beautiful plant with its deep complementary colored and large, up to 5 cm in diameter, flowers, which are enveloped with silvery hairy garment. It is a South European montane floral element and is absent from most regions of the Alps including Slovenian alpine phytogeographical region. But it grows scattered more southern. In Slovenia this not really rare, but uncommon beauty can be found scattered in country's warmest, southwest part.Pictures shows young, still small plant.
