"We have some swifts (Apus apus) nests in the office roof. Sometimes, an adult or a young bird wander around in the staircase (you know that when they're on the ground they can't take off easily); we catch'em, and if they're adult, we simply go outside and release them. Anyway we control if they've parasites e.g. Hippoboscidae (Louse flies), especially on the neck where it seems there're less feathers than elsewhere, or under the wings (beware! these flies run very fast, control if they go on your hands!). The insects in the pictures could be Crataerina pallida, which I've red should be the ""usual"" louse fly on swifts."
