"Two of about 20 which would hold still enough to be documented while eating. Dog was interested enough to stop and wait. We observed the flock for about 20 minutes. None of the Finches went far from the tree even with our close presence. A lot of hopping from branch to branch. Hard to tell if berries were ""shelled"" before eaten, or eaten whole. Based on the casings of the berries, it could be hypothesized that the Finches were dropping casings while foraging."
