Many feeding at the deer feeder, but many more in the trees around the field

These are female Red-winged Blackbirds that I spotted this morning before I helped out with animal care this morning. These birds are very common around this section of the nature center. They eat at the feeders in the garden. The females are a drab color but are greatly patterned with brown, black, and white. Males on the other hand are solid black and have bright red wing bar on their shoulders of their winds. They have been one of my biggest challenges to photograph. I can never seem to get a real excellent shot of these beautiful birds. I am very fascinated by the. They mainly forage in the open country but I have seen them in my yard a couple of times in the tree lines just passing through. They make a call that is a loud and very sharp Keer-ah-keee or something to that effect. They are a very loud bird but they are pretty neat to listen too. The call is a familiar one to the country side. These guys would always forage in the fields at my aunt's old school where she used to teach. I just love these birds for some reason. They just really interest me. They may not be my absolute favorite but they are pretty cool.
