Bald Eagle This eagle is waiting for the bears to finish with the salmon. We visited Anan Bay on 7 August 2007, it is a great spot although fairly difficult to get to. We saw brown bears early in the morning and then American Black Bear, all catching salmon, which are coming up the creek to spawn. Here is a little more info on Anan Bay Anan Wildlife Observatory, Anan Creek Tongass National Forest, Alaska

Along Rt. 75, near Lower Stanley, Idaho. Locals told me this was a Golden Eagle, but I don't see the light feathers on the back of the neck that are characteristics for this species. So I figure it's probably a juvenile bald eagle. I'm hoping an experienced birder can confirm which one it is.
