hovering over a monterey cypress tree (?) with possibly a nest. Heard a lot of much higher pitched sounds when the 2 hawks were hovering over the tree. third picture has some contrast adjustments to try to focus on the hawk's color

The hawk flew over head and into a tree. As I approached, I noticed a dead bird on the ground. The hawk swooped down and perched on the dead bird before flying away with the dead bird in its talons.
