Perched on the crosspiece of an electrical transmission pole. The location was either this pole or the one to the northwest.

Lifting off because I was taking images. It settled down on the next pole to the southeast. The location was either this pole or the one to the northwest.

This small, gray hawk-like bird was perched on a wire by the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza today. When it took off, I noticed that its wings were white underneath. My best guess is that it's a Cooper's hawk. The size and the markings on its beak seem to match.
