Maximum longevity: 30 years
Observations: The leatherback sea turtle is intriguing amongst reptiles because it features a sort of endothermy. Even so, it lives at least 30 years with anecdotal evidence suggesting a maximum longevity of 70-80 years (Spotila et al. 2000).
