Focus stacked image. Specimen is 6.5 mm long. Found under the forest floor. A bit dirty. I wonder what's the best way to clean a specimen for better photos? It's still alive but it only moves if disturbed.

Locality: NEW ZEALAND AK, suburb of Saint Johns, University of Auckland Tamaki Campus (East). Habitat: Garden refuse piles. Identification: Otiorhynchus rugosostriatus (Goeze, 1777). Female. Second photo shows the spermatheca. NOTE: This is the first specimen that I can recall ever having encountered on campus here.
