This is a new site for the species in my neighbourhood, alongside Arion hortensis which is another new species for the same site.

A glass snail casts a curious gaze to the looming shadow huddled over it... (I thought it was reaching for the plant, but it really did just rear up when I approached, before lowering and continuing as normal).

"Observation from Instagram typefiend (top of Mt Washington) via #snailblitz: ""I promised myself when I got back from CES and the NAIAS I would allow myself some quiet time in the backyard to look for post-rain flora and fauna. I was rewarded by this pinkie nail sized mollusk slowly making its way down our moss covered hillside. I believe this is the common Cellar glass-snail, Oxychilus cellarius. Like me, it is an omnivorous eater, feeding upon vegetation, eggs of other snails, slugs, and earthworms. #vscocam #fujifilm #NELA #mtwashington #macro #XT1 #snailblitz"""

Found one snail today. On the base of a tree. Probably oxychilus like the ones I have found before.

"""I saw this little guy on January 30th around 8a in my back yard. I don't recall seeing this type of snail before as it doesn't look like the snails I normally see munching on my plants. -Jon French Observation and photo by Jon French, sent to slime@nhm.org."

Any help would be appreciated.

Saw 4 of these snails. They were all in same location as I have observed before; under a 2 x 4 and brick in shade near a sprinkler that comes on twice a week.
