Not sure if this is Lesser Rhea (Rhea pennata) or Greater Rhea (Rhea americana). Cabo Dos Bahias is very close to the border of these 2 species. Known in Argentina by the Mapuche word Choique.
A number of these Rheas were seen foraging in the wild on the vast Patagonian grasslands. While this bird chiefly consumes plant material, it will take a small fraction of its diet as insects or other small fauna.
Somali ostrich. Not all groups considers a full species, but physical differences are apparent in this observation: (1) blue-grey neck and legs (2) bill and front of legs are pink
