Summary[
edit] Description: English: I found this Io moth (Automeris io) resting on a bay tree in my backyard. She had just laid eggs on two of its leaves. I gently moved her wings so that her eyespots would be visible in the photo. Some of the eggs are clearly visible, the others are on the other side of the leaf that the moth is hanging on to. You can just barely see one of those eggs if you look just above the moth's right wing. Date: 13 May 2010. Source: Own work. Author: Gary Foster. Fort Pierce, FL Licensing[
