"I thought these were called ""blackflies"", but maybe not. Look black or dark gray, magnified they are cute & fuzzy! When I see them in my house near a sink, I know a drain is clogging up."

"Let it not be said that I don't try to document all living things. These moth flies (Psychodidae) are regularly found on bathroom walls or in restrooms--here on the wall of the restroom at the Warbler Vista Trailhead. Their larvae are part of the natural ecosystem which helps break down waste products in sewage treatment systems. One taxonomist must have been overly enamored with these little flies when he named one species ""gloriosa"". No hyperbole there. As a group these are difficult to identify below about the subfamily level. As moth flies go, this one was large, about 3 to 4 mm long. It may be in the genus Clogmia--and, no, I'm not making this stuff up."
