Quite a few of these were out and about this morning.

Taken at Gonzales Independence Park. I was looking for one of the Blue-faced Ringtail dragonflies that have been observed here recently. I did not find one but enjoyed seeing and photographing some others. This is one of the Eastern Ringtails that I was hoping would have a blue face!

With the mating pair, the male was doing something I've not seen before. He was vibrating his wings in rhythmic pulses about two seconds each, with a second or so in between. It was not an attempt to fly, just 'buzzing'. The female was not moving.
