Summary[edit] Description: Just 2 moths last night on quite a perfect night I thought, I keep forgetting that despite 10 degrees at night it still is only February and anything is a bonus considering there isn't much more than 10 species on the wing at the moment. Was nice to see a semi-melanic Pale Brindled Beauty though. The other moth was a Tortricodes alternella. Date: 20 February 2017, 16:19. Source: [1926] Pale Brindled Beauty (Phigalia pilosaria). Summary[edit] Description: Recent stirrings Yesterday we had a slightly milder day of around 8 degrees by 6pm, in fact by 10pm it was warmer than lunchtime. And so the trap was setup in vain hope of attracting some moths. By 7pm I had my first moth, a pristine Pale Brindled Beauty. The second moth in was a Chestnut that hit me on the back as I was taking some rubbish out at 10pm and that was it until 7am this morning when I switched the trap off. Not too bad for my garden in hindsight but not setting the moth world alight just yet! I will try again tonight as it supposed to be warmer but unfortunately windier. 22/01/18 Macro Moths 1x Chestnut [NFY] 1x Pale Brindled Beauty [NFY]. Date: 23 January 2018, 16:56.
