Summary[
edit] Description: Russula crustosa group Image location: Goose Creek, South Carolina, USA Growing on a mossy lawn, near hardwoods. There were other Russulas growing nearby, many of which were almost entirely tan (versus green) on the pileus. The caps were convex, quilted, a mixture of greyish green and tan. Dry, cuticle easily peeling. The spore print was cream. Gills white, close, attached. Simple white stem. No odor, flesh white. No volval remnants, no partial veil. I apologize for not having any other photos of these to offer. They were lost when my external hard drive fell. Still, appreciate any thoughts on it. Recognized by sight
