Summary[
edit] Description: Another new moth! And not just for the garden this time, actually for me and my 11 years of recording Lepidoptera! I never thought I would ever catch one in my garden and my money was catching one on a field trip, in fact I got very close a few years ago when I did a field trip to Hemel Hempstead, stayed until 1am and after I had left David Kirk continued to run his trap overnight at Gadesprings Watercress Beds. By the morning he had one! I'm talking about the Brindled Beauty moth, a moth that has avoided me so many times despite regular trapping efforts early on in the year. It seems to be an uncommon moth from feedback I got from others in the County. Dead chuffed and despite a small catch I was suitably pleased.
