Echium leaf miner moth, Dialectica scalariella, reared from Echium pininana leaf mines. I collected six mined leaves from one plant on 22 April 2016. The first adult moths (2) and one wasp eclosed on 23 April 2016. By 7 May 2016, 8 moths, 6 larger winged wasps, and one stocky tiny wasp, had eclosed. Here's the host plant and here's a close-up of the mined leaves on these plants photographed five days earlier.
