The tick load on this guy was heavy. And, when I got home, I found a tick of my own embedded at my waistline.

Unfortunately this reptile was deceased. But it was still a good find, and we were able to examine the belly to see the distinguishing field marks. Thanks to Ken-ichi for finding this on the Sequoia Audubon iNat field trip.
