Unfortunately this reptile was deceased. But it was still a good find, and we were able to examine the belly to see the distinguishing field marks. Thanks to Ken-ichi for finding this on the Sequoia Audubon iNat field trip.

All over grey, scales are small and do not seem very coarse.
