Michael asked me if I had ever seen these guys and I said no. He offered to take me to a place where they are commonly found. I accepted and boy I had fun. Very cool little guys.

Second one we found. Michael was surprised because I spotted it without the black light. This was right next to the rattlesnake.

Found on a rocky overhand at approximately 8:00 pm along the Juniper Canyon Trail. This individual was kindly identified by scorpion expert Kari McWest.

I found 2 of these guys today. It was pretty awesome to be honest! I've always heard that scorpions lived in the Sierras but never got to witness it myself until today. This guy was pretty docile. It was just crawling around my hand with no worries.
