With a flick or two of the tail, these otters can kick up quite a screen to cover their movement as they choose whether to investigate or disappear into the blue.River OtterAlexander Springs Recreation AreaOcala National ForestLake County FloridaOlympus OM-D E-M514-42mm II LensPT-EP08 Underwater Housing, PPO-EP01 Lens Port & 14-42mm Zoom Gear
There are at least a couple otters that spend their days along the bank, and although you can see them foraging through the lily pads, although you rarely see them unless they venture out onto the bank. Luckily, I came across one in the run at a distance earlier, and then practically bumped into two more as they scoured the grass on the far bank. They make quite a mess as they do their thing, stirred it all up within seconds. Then both circled around me a couple of times allowing some shots before they got bored and headed down the run out of sight.
