Also known as the banjo shark, the eastern fiddler ray is endemic to south eastern Australia. This one was photographed at Jervis Bay. They can grow to over 1 m long. Like all rays, their gill slits are on the underside and they have a hole (spiracle) behind their eyes for the gill water to flow through.
