Dead, inside the laundry.

Huge spider, up a pine tree. Approx 8cm wide (including legs). Boyfriend brought it home for me (all the way from Wellington to Auckland) so I can't release it. Keen to know what this big fulla is and what he eats (otherwise it may have to be a trip to the freezer, unless someone in wellington is able to release him for me).

Rather dead spider, probably not a wasp paralyzed one as they don't usually curl up their legs. (first 2 photo focus stacked in-camera)
