I'm leaning more towards the Coronis because they were the most common butterfly seen for the day and especially in this area.

The Elegant Sheep Moth I found this fellow munching on Madrone leaves. I was told by shotguneddie that the spines can sting.

Biggest moth I ever saw. The Northlanders I was with were nonplussed - fairly common apparently up there. Ruralish property with Manuka/Kanuka, wilding pines and (I think) Acacia longofolia scrub surrounding, with some pig-fern undergrowth; there was the odd stand of macrocarpa and some mature eucalypts in the area. One pic is of the undersides taken through a window.
